The Voter's Campaign

During this election season, politicians have their own campaigns.  VOTE THE POWER!™ is a campaign for the voters.

                                              Voter Responsibilities:

To vote 360° means to get involved, get registered, get educated about the issues and the candidates.  To vote 360° means to get others involved and to go out and vote on election day.  The responsibility of the voter doesn’t end on election day when the votes are tallied and the results are announced.  We must remind our politicians of their campaign promises.  We must make ourselves known to them, approach them and have one to one dialogue about our concerns.

                                            Candidate Responsibilities:

Elected leaders who truly represent the voice of their constituency will focus their efforts on those who are in their district.  In addition, they learn to have a political impact in their region and state.   They will lay down political party differences and reach across the aisle in bi-partisanship collaborative efforts when it is obvious that these collaborations will positively impact the very communities they represent.  It is time for our communities and its leaders to come full circle.

VTP ON A MISSION

2012 VOTE THE POWER™ Campaign!!  is a community effort to educate and empower citizens in our local communities to vote.

Our mission is two-fold:

1.  To motivate local communities and communities of color to increase voter registration and participation in the political process.

2.  To increase voter registration in the 18 to 40 year-old population.

All of the efforts of the VOTE THE POWER!™ Campaign are non-partisan and are solely intended to motivate the voting population in the state of Maryland.  We aim to instruct local communities of the importance of being registered when contacting their elected officials as well as the opportunity of being notified to serve as a juror.
